  • Beiden Pass
Beiden Pass is often referred to as the crossroads of the Empire. It is the only pass in the Spine of the World Mountains that is wide enough to move an army through. The Lion, Scorpion, and Crane constantly feud over control of the pass.

  • Spine of the World Mountains
The Spine of the World Mountains split Rokugan in two. They contain the empire's tallest peaks. There are a number of narrow and perilous passes through the mountain's besides Beiden. Most don't bother to call them anything but suicide, others refer to them collectively as Beiden's Shadow.

  • Yogo Swamps
Thousands of little streams running down from the mountains, saturate the land, creating a freshwater peat bog that runs the length of Yogo lands. This can lead to amazing rice crops when they don't get hit by blight or flooded by a late thaw.
